1)Traditional Japanese cuisine "Washoku" was added to UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in December2014.
This has increased expectations towards Japanese food booms globally.
"Washoku" was highly evaluated and chosen as Cultural Heritage because it does not interfere
the circulation of nature , but has a truly unique food culture which coexists with nature.
It is highly regarded and valuable to preserve for future generations.
2)Japanese food culture has its own unique phrase - "Itadakimasu".
The roots of this word, which is often translated as "I humbly receive,"
have a meaning that spirit resides in all foods and we take their lives when eating.
In Europe or Asia including China does not have such word.
This is also different from what Christians pray before dining.
3) Through our MOTTAINAI Action, we would like to convey the sense of our food culture "harmony with nature".
We want as many as possible to take on the word "Itadakimasu" which includes appreciation to food.
